Over the past week, a frightening trend has developed. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has shown a complete disregard for the rule of law and proper government procedure by withholding documents from Congress, even when issued a Congressional Subpoena. The agency seems to have literally “gone rogue.”
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R -CA) called attention to the agency’s overstep, misdirection and illegal action of withholding documents from the committee.
“Your continued personal obstruction, lack of compliance with a validly issued congressional subpoena and false statements to the committee are unacceptable,’ Issa stated in a letter to NLRB acting general counsel, Lafe Solomon. “The NLRB is acting as a rogue agency that believes it does not have to fully answer to Congress.”
After receiving a Freedom of Information Act request, the NLRB begrudgingly released the documents. The documents released by the so-called “neutral agency” included email exchanges cheerleading unions and documents that showed a blatant Big Labor bias. Not only is this an obstruction of justice and a transparent example of the NLRB’s pro-union agenda, but it is illegal.
In the video, WFI’s Barbara Comstock discusses these emails with Fox Business Network host, Neil Cavuto.
