Workforce Fairness Institute Praises Passage Of Repeal Of Obama-Era Contracting Rules
Washington, D.C. – Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) spokesperson Heather Greenaway released the following statement today in response to the U.S. Senate’s passage of the Congressional Review Act repealing the misguided Obama-era ‘blacklisting rule’ for federal contractors:
“The Workforce Fairness Institute applauds the Senate’s passage of the Congressional Review Act, which repeals the misguided Obama-era ‘blacklisting rule’ for federal contractors. This unnecessary regulation undermined labor laws already on the books and punitively punished job creators at the behest of Big Labor. We look forward to President Trump signing this bill into law as he fulfills his campaign promise to roll back job-killing regulations imposed by the Obama Administration and put the government back on the side of American workers. Blocking the ‘blacklisting rule’ is an excellent first step to unwinding eight years of bureaucratic red tape, and making it simpler for companies to create jobs and help grow our economy.”
