As Union Pensions Go Bankrupt, Union Bosses Spend Heavily On Political Activities
Choosing Big Labor over struggling American workers and small businesses means letting union bosses push our nation over the fiscal cliff. From violating workers’ private information to micro-unions and ambush elections, union bosses are invading the workplace – and taking the economy down with it. Continue reading

Wszolek: The Battle of Student Forced Unionization
Labor bosses swore their efforts were to ensure students had their rights defended – yet the GSRAs did not call for this action. To the contrary, many openly opposed it. They recognized this was about subjecting more individuals to forced payment of union dues. In Michigan, union employees are forced to pay dues whether they support the union or not. If they refuse, they can no longer work, for example, as a graduate student research assistant at U-M. Continue reading

Who Is Richard Trumka Trying to Fool?
The true irony here is that while Trumka extols the virtues of the struggling modern worker, blasting “people [who] can drop in five or six million bucks at the drop of a hat to alter a presidential race,” he’s living it up with his other Big Labor buddies at the Buena Vista Hotel and Spa in Orlando.

Michigan Graduate Student Research Assistants Are Students, Not Employees
In the end, graduate student research assistants – just as their title clearly states – are students, not workers, with a primarily educational, not economic, relationship with their employer. And while this seems obvious to nearly anyone assessing the current situation at the University of Michigan, it is stunning that some at the institution and in the legislature would so strenuously argue against it. NLRB Considering Rule Allowing Jimmy Hoffa To Call & Email Employees
The next handout to union bosses is the personal contact information of workers; their telephone numbers and personal email addresses to be used during organizing campaigns. Imagine, the U.S. Government believes it is entitled to provide Jimmy Hoffa, the general president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the telephone numbers and email addresses of workers who want little else than to work hard and enjoy time with their families and loved ones at day’s end. Continue reading
